Before You Get Started Do I need a website to become an affiliate? Is this like MLM or a "get rich quick" scheme? How much will I make? What does it take to become a successful affiliate? What's the first thing I need to do to get started? Create an Affiliate Site I do not currently have a website. What are my options? Can I build more than one site? Do I need to sign up for multiple affiliate accounts? How do I access my link code and/or banners? I would like to build a site which resembles my own online pharmacy with no reference to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com. Is this possible? Why would I want to build a site that resembles my own online pharmacy? How can I offer my customers the ability to track their package from my site? How do I offer my customers the ability to communicate with PrescriptionsDrugStore for questions about their order, billing, etc.? My affiliate site is complete. How do I make money with it? Market your Site What are the most common ways that affiliates market their sites? How important is it to submit my site to search engines and directories? How do I get my site listed on the first page of search engine results? Should I use pay-per-click search engines? Can I use offline methods to market my site? Can I use opt-in e-mail marketing to market my site? Affiliate Control Center How do I get my link code and check my stats and sales? Tracking Sales How do I ensure that my sales are being tracked? What are lifetime cookies? How will they benefit me? I noticed that there is an image tag at the end of my link code. Do I need this? What is it? My affiliate admin is not tracking impressions. I have more clicks than impressions which is impossible. What's going on? Everything Else I would like to sell Viagra from my site. What do I need to do to credit for the sales? I haven't received my check yet. What should I do?   You do not need a website to sign up for the PrescriptionsDrugStore Affiliate Program, but we do ask that you have a site completed within one month. -Top No it is not. It is free to enroll in the program and you are not required to recruit other affiliates unless you choose to. And although some of our affiliates do get rich, it doesn't happen quick :). -Top We don't know. This depends on several factors including how much effort you put forth in creating quality websites, your skill level as an internet marketer, and how many affiliate sites you have. Some of the top s.e.o. affiliates and internet marketers make $30-40k a month, every month, but an average affiliate makes $2-3k a month. But remember, you must put forth the time and effort to see those kind of results. -Top Ideally, it takes a person that is experienced in internet marketing and/or search engine optimization. However, with the tools provided by our devoted Affiliate Support Team, anyone who has a strong work ethic and dedication can succeed. -Top The first thing you must do is sign up for the program. If you do not have a website, start building one. If you do have one, just insert your link code/banners to get started. One way is to design a site as if it were your own online pharmacy. This is the most simple and effective way to build if you plan on generating traffic from search engines. Another way is to build a site with a particular theme such as weight loss or sexual health. Maybe do some research on a topic of interest, write an article or short essay on your findings, and offer a link to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com in the body of the text and place a banner at the top of the page. -Top Certainly. You can build as many sites as you want and you do not have to sign up for another affiliate account. You can use your link code for each site that you own. And more sites equals more exposure which means more sales. All of our top affiliates have multiple sites. -Top Just log-in to the Affiliate Control Center, click on "Programs", click on "Select Ads", and click on "Get HTML" for whatver ad you want. -Top YES. We have all of the tools necessary for anyone to design their own online pharmacy. Visit the Affiliate Resource Center to find out how to forward your customer's questions to us, implement your own "Order Tracking" page, and create an order form with your site's look and feel. You will receive an e-mail containing this information as soon as you join. -Top There are two main reasons: First, for whatever reason, some online shoppers tend to shy away from affiliate sites or will not click on a link because it is an affiliate link. Also, it is harder to get an affiliate site in the Yahoo directory, ODP, and Overture. These 3 engines/directories are a great places to generate traffic. -Top We will help you integrate an order tracking system and the PrescriptionsDrugStore customer support team into your existing site. Search engines are an excellent way to gain highly targeted traffic to your site. Additional online methods to market your site include banner ads, forums, opt-in e-mail campaigns, etc. Offline methods to market your site may include magazines, newspaper ads, flyers, telling friends and family, etc. We do ask that you make no reference whatsoever to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com when using offline marketing techniques. -Top Again, to be successful in this business, you must develop skills and knowledge pertaining to internet marketing and search engine placement. We cannot stress enough how important search engine traffic is in the online pharmacy industry. We encourage you to subscribe to as many search engine-related newsletters as possible and become members of as many search engine optimization forums as possible. A good place to start is www.searchenginewatch.com. -Top Yes and no. We encourage all affiliates to open a pay-per-click account with Overture and Google AdWords. But to be successful with these two ppc engines, you must bid on hundreds of keywords at less than $1 or $2. The best strategy is to bid on keywords that involve 2 words or more such as "buy phentermine cheap" or "order viagra now". Using this strategy will not generate many clicks, but the visitors you do get will be highly targeted and the clicks will be much cheaper than words like "phentermine" or "viagra". We have found, through our personal marketing experience, that most other pay-per-click search engines do not convert well. Please be cautious when using any other ppc search engines than listed above. Deposit only the minimum amount and then use a tracking url such as www.mysite.com/?source=findwhat to make sure that you are getting what you pay for. -Top You may advertise in magazines, newspaper ads, flyers, telling friends and family, etc. We do ask that you make no reference whatsoever to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com when using offline marketing techniques. -Top You may advertise via opt-in e-mail campaigns. We do ask that you let us review the e-mail before it is sent, and we ask that you do not mention PrescriptionsDrugStore.com or link directly to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com in the e-mail. Please do not e-mail PrescriptionsDrugStore.com customers, even if you referred them to the site. We send out a monthly patient newsletter with links to order additional products. If a customer you referred to us makes a purchase from the newsletter, you will receive full commission from the sale. -Top You can log-in to the Affiliate Control Center anytime to get your link code and check your stats and sales. -Top By properly formatting the link from your site to ours. After you click on one of your affiliate links, you can also check your Temporary Internet Files for a cookie that says cookie: owner@platinumrx.modwest.com. You can log-in to the Affiliate Control Center to access your link code. -Top Whenver someone clicks on your affiliate link, a small piece of information is place on that person's computer. That bit of information is called a cookie. Most cookies have a built-in "timer" that tells them when they will expire. Let's say someone clicks on your link today, does not make a purchase, forgets about your site, and comes back 2 years from now and buys something. You will still get credit for the sale. We are the only online pharmacy that offers lifetime cookies and high commissions on returning customers! -Top This is a 1 x 1px transparent gif. It is there only to track impressions, thus contributing to your click-through rate stats. You can delete the code if you want and your sales will still be tracked like normal. -Top If you are using the customizable affiliate order form, your stats will not track impressions; it will only track "clicks", which in this case is how many times the page was loaded. -Top All sites with the word "viagra" in the domain name must not reference PrescriptionsDrugStore in any way. Thus, the customer affiliate order form must be used and no direct links to PrescriptionsDrugStore.com may be place on the site. Furthermore, all affiliate sites with the word "viagra" in the domain name must be approved by someone in the Affiliate Support Team. You will not receive credit for a sale if the linking url contains the word "viagra" and the site has not been approved by our staff. If you have a site with the word "viagra" in the url, or if you are in the process of building one, please contact someone in Affiliate Support Team for assistance. -Top If it has been 10 days since the close of the last 2 week pay period and you still have not received your check, please send an e-mail to affiliatedirector@PrescriptionsDrugStore.com. -Top If you have any additional questions that we did not answer, just write to affiliatesupport@PrescriptionsDrugStore.com or call 1-877-250-2949 and we'll be happy to assist you.
